DBT Ventures

DBT Ventures is a US-based venture capital firm that advises and invests in startups, with a focus on female and BIPOC founders who are statistically underfunded in the venture capital ecosystem. The firm works to address the funding gap where only 1.9% of venture capital reaches diverse founders despite representing 20% of all entrepreneurs. DBT Ventures has built a community of approximately 5,300 diverse leaders committed to supporting underrepresented startup founders.

Our team advises and invests in startups. We tend to focus on founders who are female and/or people of color building amazing products. In 2022, only 1.9% venture capital went to female/BIPOC founders. Since 20% of all founders are female/BIPOC, the data suggests they are underfunded by a factor of 10x. This is not okay.
